Hello everyone! I’m happy to announce that on the 29th, 30th and 31st October 2018, the Danethrall e-Book will be available for FREE on Amazon!
I’ve been busy working away at Book 2 recently, and I decided to include the historic 885 CE siege of Paris. During my research and writing, I hit a rather ridiculous problem concerning a bridge the Norsemen faced on their way along the Seine from the Frankish town of Rouen to Paris. I even had my dad and a dear friend help me research this particular bridge. It’s a very minor bridge, but between the three of us, we found the bridge had been burned (yep, that was about it), but I couldn’t for the life of me find out how, historically … So I’ve made it work. 🙂 that’s the lovely thing about historical fiction, when history doesn’t give me the answers, I can operate on creative license. 😉
There are a few things that appear in Book 2 that have been so interesting to learn about, I’m tempted to write a few articles – including the 885-886 siege of Paris, for example – and upload them onto this site. I’m not 100% sure yet, but I’m definitely tempted.
Thanks for listening to me ramble! – GSKT
